Covid Changes Grade by Grade:

Premiers: W.H.Taylor Shield –

Rounds that need to be completed to create a valid competition – 3

  • With just this week lostThis weeks games are treated like a rain out, so week 2 of the game will now be a one day modified game. The following game as per the schedule.
  • With two weeks lost – the final two weeks will both be one day modified games
  • If only one or no more weeks are played – The W.H Taylor Shield will not be awarded for 2020/21.

Senior A Championship:

Rounds that need to be completed to create a valid competition – Round Robin already completed

  • If round on March 13th is lost – The top 4 teams on the table as it currently stands move straight to semi finals on March 20th (1 vs 4, 2 vs 3)
  • If round on March 20th is lost – The top 2 teams on the table as it currently stands move straight to the final on March 27th
  • If no more cricket is played – The competition winner will be based on the table as it currently stands

Senior A Plate:

Rounds that need to be completed to create a valid competition – 6/10 (already completed)

  • If no more round robin games are completed then the teams currently first and second on the table will progress directly to the final
  • If no more cricket is played - The competition winner will be based on the table as it currently stands

Senior A T20:

Rounds that need to be completed to create a valid competition – 3/5 (already completed):

  • With Saturdays round now cancelled. The top two teams from pool play will progress to the final.
  • If the final is unable to be played, the top two teams from each pool will share the trophy

Senior B Championship and Plate

Rounds that need to be completed to create a valid competition – 3/5 (already completed)

  • Games from this coming week (March 6th) now moved to March 20th
  • If no more rounds are completed then the teams currently first and second on the table will progress directly to the final
  • If no more cricket is played - The competition winner will be based on the table as it currently stands.

T20 Championship and Plate

Rounds that need to be completed to create a valid competition – 3/5 (2 rounds currently completed)

  • If only one more week is possible then that week will be played as the final round robin game, and the winner of each grade will be determined by the points table.
  • If no more cricket is possible, than the winner of the T20 Grade will be decided on who finished top of the table in the full round of games that were played before and just after Christmas.

Rounds that need to be completed to create a valid competition – 4/7 (already completed)

  • If no more cricket is possible than the winner of the competition will be determined by the table as it currently stands.

We do understand that whenever there is something like this occurs, that it is going to cause some disruption and frustration, but hopefully this at least provides some clarity moving forward.
